Merry Acres Inn: A Timeless Southern Retreat

Since 1952, Merry Acres Inn has been a beloved part of Albany's story—offering warm Southern hospitality and thoughtful comforts that make every guest feel right at home.

Our roots run deeper. In 1935, Dr. Russell L. Grace Sr. transformed a 500-acre estate into a peaceful refuge. Years later, his daughter Jean and son-in-law G.G. "Spec" Dozier opened Albany's first motel on these grounds—giving rise to what we know today as Merry Acres Inn.

Over the decades, we've thoughtfully evolved, staying true to our heritage while embracing modern comfort. What began as a family retreat is now a reimagined boutique inn where historic charm meets today's conveniences.
